A sole fish suggestion to spice up my current planted aquarium (75 gallon)?
Again, Can anyone suggest a FISH that likes to be by himself as well as not bothering any of the fish that he will be with. I'm thinking of siamese algae eater? how about FAN SHRIMP? this is an invert, I" just thinking of adding 1 of it These are the only ones I know.any other advice?In my list I now have 1 butterfly plecostomus not the hillstream loach 1 Bristlenose pleco6 corydoras sterbai1 pomacea bridgesii6 denison barbs6 boesemani rainbowPlease don't put fish that are hostile like rainbow shark or redtail shark etc. Any advice the you will give me will be most appreciated.Thank you for having the time reading this too Sincerely, Me
Separated my parrot fish n put it in another aquarium but he is not swimming n stays at z bottom only, WHY?
i hav got many fishes like 4 goldfish,2 comets, 2 flatties. recently i got a parrot fish n put him wiz z ozers, n he started fightin wiz zem all day long, he cnt bear z ozer fishes stayin near him, finally i had to put him apart in a small aquarium, but since he's not swimming n is stayin at z bottom only, why is zat ??
Suggestions for Stocking an aquarium?
so im getting either an 8 gallon or 10 gallon aquarium and i would like some suggestions for stocking it. I was thinking either a bunch of small fish. or like one male a betta and some bottom feeders. Any suggestions on fish to go with a betta? Or any suggestions for a tank that size with small peaceful fish? specific species e.g. neon tetra not just tetra would be great.
Do you need a powerful aquarium filter for a 10gal tank of fishes? ?
I have a 10 gal fish tank and i'm planning to get some fishes. There use to be 2 small red ear slider turtles which I moved to a tank and i'm left here with a 10 gallon.I was wondering if I can use the turtle filter i have here for the fishes,will that be strong enough to suck up debris or have clean water?What filter would you recommend for a 10gal tank, Thanks in advance

what do i need to do? im 19 years old, in colledge, and i have been obsessed with aquariums and fish all my life. ever since i was little. i have a 29 gallon tankthe tank is planted, i have all low light plants.i have 8 cardinal tetras, 4 hatchet fish.i have been takeing care of an aquarum ever since i was 8 years old. so i am pretty expirecnced. i love setting up new tanks, cycleing them. adding and treating fish for any diseases, etc. im really into the live plants, just i was so fascinated with how much leraning there was involved with keeping live plants in an aqurium. anways, im a colledge student. im just cerious what typ of classes i need to take, and also what the major would be called... woud it be " marine biology?" i dont know. so if anybody could help me please, i would grately apprecaite it.

Filling a 10g aquarium.?
I will be acquiring a 10 gallon cylindrical tank very soon. I have had fish before, and maintained larger aquariums my question is, what should I stock my new tank with? Live plants and driftwood will decorate it. I live in FL, do the water is usually at a Ph of about 7.0 and a temp of 65 80. The tank I will be getting does not come with a heater, however, so what kinds of fish do you guys recommend? I already know not to exceed 10 inches of fish, and to not mix aggressive types.I like gourami. Was thinking about getting 2 dwarf ones with a small school of another type of fish to go with them. We have a big local fish store here, and I e mailed them asking if they have any 40 gallon breeder aquariums. They said they can order one, but just the tank costs $160 Why is it so expensive? What Can I Put in This Aquarium?
It's 70 liters and has 2 60 liter filters running in it. Fresh water.5 Cory Catfish and 4 Oto's are a definite as well as 1 Betta and 2 Assassin Snails.Could I add anything else?Alex are you absolutely insane? You should never keep males and females together unless you have a 50 gallon tank and above. And even then, regardless of how densly planted it is, there is still a risk of the male killing off the females.John I already have 4 Cory's and 2 Oto's in the aquarium and they're doing wonderfully.The catfish are eating and the Oto's eat algae waffer when I drop them in every now and again and when not busy themselves with the algae that I don't clean in the back of the tank. XD
